Muslim Food Bank

Serves both Muslims and Non-Muslims. The Food Hamper Distribution program involves the preparation and distribution of food hampers that are catered to specific dietary needs (vegan and religious dietary restrictions) for low-income residents of British Columbia. The hamper will normally include rice, flour, oil, sugar and other non-perishable foods. Call to register or to pick-up a hamper.

    Purchasing groceries for the seniors in their care

    Accompanying seniors to any medical appointments

    Accompanying seniors to activities once a week - (these activities may include going to the mosque for prayers or to the park or community centre.

In addition, MFBCS will be providing wheelchairs and walking sticks to seniors for whom need is especially dire.

Salvation Army White Rock Church and Community Ministries

Individuals or families who are struggling financially may visit a maximum of one time per month for a food hamper of non-perishable food and household items. Who qualifies? Anyone living in White Rock/South Surrey and South Delta who are on income assistance, such as disability, pension, or employment insurance and whose total monthly income does not exceed certain limits. Call for more details.

Sources - White Rock/South Surrey Food Bank

The Sources Food Bank helps those in need. Clients must provide picture and address ID to register.

Food Distribution Hours:

Tuesdays 9:300am to 3:30 pm, Wednesdays 10:00am to 6:00pm and Thursdays, 10:00am to 2:00pm. Food items can be dropped off during business hours or at any local grocery store.

The food bank helps low-income individuals and families in the Surrey and North Delta area. Picture identification and proof of income and proof of address are required. Distribution hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9:30am to 1:00pm Seniors Only Distribution: Alternate Wednesdays 1:30 – 3:00 pm.
